My Walk A Jog Adventure

I spent the morning with a crowd of little humans walking to raise money for our school. We stampeded the streets with spirits high - waving hello to friends, and taking in the beautiful sunshine. I even got to stop and chat with some of the students I have met throughout my years at Park School, which was super fun. It always amazes me how quickly those human kids grow and I love that they never forget me no matter how big they get. Could you imagine if I grew as fast and as tall as them? Ha ha! I'd really be able to scare the daylights out of evil-doers then! :) On the other hand, I wouldn't be able to leap from lily pad to lily pad with Phinn and Croak anymore, so I guess it's for the best. 

After our walking journey was over, I got to play at the school carnival. It was so awesome! They had games similar to the games we played at the carnival Lily Pad Hollow threw for us when we came back from our grand adventure. They only difference was that they didn't have fly prizes and instead of candied flies or fly fries, they served some authentic Mexican Food (which all the humans went crazy for). 

Walk A Jog (more like Walk A Fun!)

Oh yeah! I almost forgot to mention the most exciting part! While walking the course at a very swift pace, a giant black panther suddenly crept up behind me. That's right, I said a panther! My heart stopped as I set my sights upon the beast. I quickly reached for my cattail sword to defend myself and the humans around me. Thankfully, I didn't have to use it though because the humans quickly filled me in on how he was a nice panther and was something called a mascot for our school. I trusted those humans, so I mustered up my courage, introduced myself to the big animal and found that they were right! He was really friendly! He told me that his name was Shadow and not to worry because he had no intention of eating me. Phew! He even let me get my picture taken with him. 

Good thing I'm such a brave frog or else I would have found those teeth pretty intimidating.

After a long and exciting day, I'm calling it a night and heading back to Lily Pad Hollow to share all the stories of my Walk A Jog Adventure with Phinn, Croak, and my family. See you on the next adventure!

My Exploratorium Adventure

I joined the human kids of Room 28 on a field trip this week to the Exploratorium in San Francisco and we had a blast! After an hour and fifteen minute bus ride (which I could have done without. Traveling by bus is nothing compared to soaring on the back of a majestic spotted owl), we finally made it to the Exploratorium.  I wasn’t sure what an Exploratorium was, but it seemed like something I could definitely be on board with, being an explorer and all. As we entered the large dome building the kids were buzzing with excitement louder than a swarm of flies (mmm…flies).  Everywhere you looked there were things to touch, things to see, things to hear, things to smell. I mean, leaping lily pads, this place was an adventurers paradise! I definitely wasn't in Lily Pad Hollow anymore! We quickly got to work investigating every station we could, but, unfortunately, the field trip was a quick one so my group of humans and I had to squish some major exploring into a little more than an hour. Oh well. Sometimes short adventures are the best ones. I can't wait to tell Phinn and Croak all about the cool exhibits we saw. Boy, they really missed out! Whoa! I'm feeling dizzy...

Hello World!

Hi! I’m Ribbit McFly and I’m no ordinary frog; I’m an adventurer.  

Last year, my best friends, Phinn and Croak, joined me on a journey where no frog has dared travel before – leaving the cattail borders of our small town of Lily Pad Hollow behind. We had quiet the adventure! We met new friends, like Ollie the Owl and Shelly the Turtle to name a few, and we fought off an evil lizard named Lex. Leaping Lily Pads it was scary coming face to face with him. He trapped all the flies and mosquitoes in these big pods made out of spider webs, in hopes that he would be in control of all the animals who ate them. Luckily, he messed with the wrong frogs because we figured out his dastardly plans, gathered up all our courage, and stopped them from happening, with the help of our dear owl friend, Ollie. The bad news is that, while we were able to stop Lex and free the flies, he did escape and we don’t know if he’s still alive and plotting his revenge. Just the thought sends shivers down my spine. Let’s just hope he didn’t survive his escape. I guess we’ll cross that lily pad when we come to it. Now that that adventure is over with, I’ve been itching to go on more adventures, which I totally plan to. I mean, who could go back to living with a bunch of boring ol’ frogs when there’s a great wide world out there to see? Adventures await!
